Environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA)

Led by Professor Euston Quah and his team of environmental economists at Singapore Nanyang Technology University, their focus is on quantifying the impact of a given operation on elements of natural capital, such as flora, fauna, land, soils, and indigenous peoples. At a basic level it determines whether the socio-cultural and physical environment is better or worse off as a result of a company's operations.
