Public Speaking, Facilitation and Event Moderation
Tony Boatman, founder of The Indela is an Entrepreneur, writer and public speaker, with twenty years of business experience spanning three continents, spending the majority of his career with two of the world's top consumer brands and yes; contributing to the hyper-consumption binge which we often associate with growth and development.
In 2007 Tony was trained personally by former US Vice President Al Gore to represent his 'Climate Project' NGO as a speaker www.theclimateproject.org and in January 2008 he was appointed District Manager, The Climate Project Singapore, part of the Global Alliance for Climate Protection, Chaired by Vice President Gore.
Tony speaks regularly at corporate events marrying his knowledge of business management with sustainability economics to deliver an insightful & thought provoking keynote address.
He also speaks on the topics of business creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship as a means to solving the sustainability challenge, where his CV is brimming with real world experiences, not an aggregation of other people's insights. Tony is also a highly capable moderator and MC.

Tony Boatman is a key note speaker of rare quality. I initially had the pleasure of listening to Tony address a large Audience in Singapore on the topic of Sustainability, back in 2008. When it came to choosing a key note speaker for the annual Asia Pacific Paper Packing Industry conference 2010, of which I chair the organising committee, Tony was our first choice. We asked him to address the topic of 'Sustainability' to our 600 delegates. We were well cognizant of the fact that the subject choice is not without controversy for our industry, however, Tony's balanced views, authoritive delivery and most of all humour, shone through. I have no hesitation in recommending Tony in the highest possible terms.

Tony recently delivered a key note presentation to my staff on the topic of climate change and the role business can play in addressing the climate crisis. His presentation was highly contextual and relevant to us, an advertising agency grappling with the issue of how to promote sustainable consumption in a commercial environment which is increasingly geared towards short term profits and throughput. Tony's pro-business approach, framed in the triple bottom line context, enables him to connect and emphasise with the challenges we are all facing on a daily basis. The feedback from all participants has been positive. I look forward to engaging his services again in the near future.

I had the chance to attend several of Tony's key notes and also to collaborate with him on speaking engagements on several occasions. Tony has a real and deep knowledge on climate change science. He also has a special talent in making environmental issues relevant for businesses, translating them into economic terms. Tony is a very inspiring and experienced speaker who knows how to engage with an audience on important and sometimes rather controversial topics in a subtle yet convincing and constructive way.

I have engaged Tony Boatman's services as a key note speaker on two occasions to address large corporate audiences. He has a phenomenal personal story of success, rising to head the marketing functions of two of the world's largest consumer's brands and speaks with authority on the topic of marketing and marketing leadership. Tony has now taken his considerable energy into the entrepreneurial space to pursue his passion for sustainable development. I don't believe there is a more informed speaker than Tony in this area in Asia at the current time. His views are balanced and his ability to capture the audience's attention with precisely chosen words and good humour were appreciated by our audience. Oh…and he did not use one PowerPoint slide which was refreshing.

Tony Boatman was engaged by my company Schawk to deliver an address on the general theme of sustainability to my regional leadership team in 2010. As a listed company operating in the printing industry, sustainability is one of the core elements of our strategy. Tony was not afraid to challenge some of our positions and certainly opened our eyes to the broader challenges we and others in industry face in the years ahead. He has a genuine 'presence' and speaks with an air of authority and openness that left the room wanting more. I would not hesitate in recommending him to your event.
Lou Milicevic, Regional VP and Managing Director Schawk, Asia Pacific
Upon my invitation, Tony Boatman addressed a large group of MBA students at INSEAD's Singapore campus speaking on his transition from senior corporate marketer to entrepreneur. Known most recently in Asia as the Xbox Marketing guy, his insights and experience gleaned from launching some of the worlds most recognised consumer products and brands were noteworthy and indeed entertaining. His recommendations were real world and reflected the experience of someone in the midst of doing, rather than thinking about the leap into the unknown. These students are exposed to speakers from all walks of life and if they don't like what they hear, they tend to get up and leave quietly! Tony's audience increased in size during the course of the presentation, testament to his capability.

I first heard Tony Boatman speak when he was the MC and key note speaker at a large charity event held at Singapore's Regent Hotel, back in 2002. To be able to engage, entertain and hold such a diverse audience's attention for an entire evening is a genuine skill. He donated his time for the occasion and doubled later in the evening as the auctioneer raising an astounding $75,000 for the Bali Bombing appeal. I would recommend him highly.
David Hope, Regional VP Lawson Software Asia
I first met Tony, when we were joint speakers at a Regional Marketing event - and there was no doubt that Tony was the draw for the audiences in Hong Kong and Singapore. It was a paid event, but many in the audience had known him for years, some had worked with him, some for him but all highly respected him. He is a highly engaging public speaker and gifted story teller. I would recommend him highly.

We engaged Tony's services to address our annual industry conference of 800 delegates from around the world in Bangkok on the topic of brand building. Coming from a big brand background and highly familiar with the Asian context, Tony's key note presentation was not only peppered with real world anecdotes and key learning take outs, but also entertaining. He held the audience's attention for a full one hour and rated at the very top of our post event evaluation assessments. His services were well worth the investment.
